Global Gives Back

"It is a great way to build comradery while serving others."

- Meg Brady, Senior Director of Global Learning

Global Gives Back —

A service initiative to promote the practice of "Paying it Forward"

In 2017, S&T Global Learning launched Global Gives Back as a way of paying it forward. Through this initiative, Global Learning hopes to spread the idea of helping others and making a positive change in our world.

It has been a busy year and we've accomplished a lot (scroll down for details). We hope in the coming year we're able to give back even more.

Our Heros

Thank You First Responders For Your Service

In recognition of Rolla area first responders, Global Learning put together "Beat the Frostbite," gift baskets. The team had fun putting the baskets together and delivering them on November 15, 2017. We are so thankful for their service and for working those thankless hours to keep us safe and warm. You are our heros!

In June, members of the Global Learning team spent an afternoon cleaning up the S&T campus grounds and surrounding areas. A highlight was at TJ Hall, where some major clean-up was needed before the start of the fall semester. We collected 22 bags of trash and piled up larger items for pick up.

Global Learning's "Sleeping Mats for the Homeless " project was very successful. We kicked-off the service project in March and the team was able to meet its goal of producing five mats by the end of the summer. These mats will be delivered to the Rolla Mission at a later date.

Check out a Sleeping Mat Kit

We have kits for making plarn and ones for crocheting the mats depending on your interests. Your kit will come with instructions and the materials needed, so you won't have to supply any materials.

Contact Meg Brady at megbrady@mst.edu or call  (573) 341-4845 to check out your kit.
